Come enjoy NABA’s new face lift! Thanks to the many generous donations and hard work of members, the entire first floor of the facility and parking lot have been remodeled, resealed, and freshly cleaned. We hope the face lift provides the best environment for recovery and fellowship!
July 8, 2019
We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July holiday. Our holiday event here at NABA, sponsored by the Early Morning Study Group, was a great success, both in serving the NABA community and as a fundraiser.
Now the fun begins with construction. Please remember our tradition about not being organized as we navigate through the month of July. While we have tried to plan for everything and have talked to many people about where their groups will meet, please know that there will be challenges that we will face that can be overcome with kindness and consideration.
The front parking lot will be closed off during construction, except for the handicap parking spots. The construction people will be onsite from 6AM to 3PM, 5 days a week during the rest of the month of July. They expect to be finished by July 30th.
Most groups that utilize the small room will just move into the main big room. If the construction is too noisy, moving downstairs to the dining room is an option. Split out groups from the 5:45 will meet in the curtained off area behind the main room.
Thursday night will be the most challenging. The Thursday Night Al-Anon Group will move to the partitioned area behind the big room; the Thursday Night Women’s group that normally meets in that area will move around to the newly partitioned room next to the windows in the big room. The curtain dividers are not sound proof, so please be mindful of the other groups meeting on the other side of the curtains.
In addition to the construction project, we will be painting the entire first floor, so there may be a day when even the big room is not available. We will keep you posted on any schedule changes as they come up.
Thank you in advance for your patience and tolerance.
