A Fellowship-Funded Clubhouse for Lasting Recovery in Atlanta

NABA CLUB is more than a meeting space—it’s a safe, welcoming sober space for individuals committed to recovering from alcoholism through 12-Step programs. Open daily. Powered by members. Supported by love and service.

Our Purpose

Built by the Fellowship, for the Fellowship

Founded in 1957 by members of the recovery community, NABA CLUB is a nonprofit clubhouse in northeast Atlanta offering a stable, supportive environment for 12-Step Recovery. Our mission is simple: to provide a safe, welcoming place where lives are rebuilt and the spirit of community and service thrives.

We support the legacies of AA & Al-anon – Recovery, Unity and Service – through over 50 meetings a week, community events and a space where no one has to pretend to be okay. We believe recovery should always be accessible – and never conditional on the ability to pay.

Here, you don’t have to explain the past.
You just have to show up.

“I didn’t know if I could do this. Then someone turned to me and said, ‘Glad you’re here.’ That changed everything.”

Our Members Make It Possible

We’re 100%
Member-Supported

NABA CLUB does not receive government funding. We operate thanks to the generosity of our members, donors, and volunteers. Your membership dues keep the lights on, the coffee flowing, and the doors open every day of the year.
Membership is not required to attend meetings, but it is how we sustain this space for the next person seeking help.

Why Service Matters

Doing Something Simple Can Change Everything

At NABA, service isn’t a requirement. It’s a gift. From sweeping the floor to cooking a meal or setting up a room, these small acts create connections and help us step out of isolation.
Many of us arrived here unsure how to say hello, how to make eye contact, how to feel useful. Over time, service helped rebuild those muscles — gently.

“I didn’t have to know what to say. I just poured the coffee. That’s where it started.”

 What People Find Here

A Quiet Place to Heal
— With Others

Some come for a meeting and leave. Others stay for hours, talking with friends or just sitting near the creek. Recovery doesn’t happen on a clock. NABA offers a place where people can return to themselves — in community, in quiet, and at their own pace.
What many of us found here wasn’t loud. It was steady. And that’s what made it powerful.

“I came in thinking I didn’t belong anywhere. Turns out, I just hadn’t found my people yet.”

Our Ongoing Purpose

Here When You’re Ready

NABA doesn’t promise answers. We don’t give advice. We simply make space — again and again — for those who are ready to try something different.
You don’t have to know how it works. You don’t have to be sure. Just come sit down.

“We’re not here to fix you. We’re here to walk with you while you figure things out.”

OUR HISTORY

A legacy of Recovery and Support since the 1950s.

The Northside Alcoholics Benevolent Association (NABA) Clubhouse was established by a group of recovering alcoholics who saw the need for a dedicated space in the northeast Atlanta area. They pooled their time, talent, and resources to build this clubhouse and it’s been growing ever since.
Today, NABA hosts a wide variety of 12-Step groups and social functions that reinforce the joy and unity of sober living.
