Volunteer at NABA

Volunteering for service work as a part of working the AA program is a cornerstone of personal recovery and community strength. By giving back—whether through chairing meetings, sponsoring others, or helping with setup and cleanup—members reinforce their own sobriety while supporting the recovery of others. Service work cultivates humility, connection, and purpose, offering a powerful antidote to isolation and self-centeredness. It reminds members that sobriety is sustained not just by abstaining from alcohol, but by contributing to a fellowship that thrives on mutual aid and shared responsibility. In helping others, members often find they help themselves most of all.

The NABA clubhouse is always in need of volunteers, from helping out in the kitchen to landscaping and seasonal decorating to helping organize special events. Opportunities to participate will be regularly updated here, so check in whenever you feel like you need a little service work to keep your program strong!
